Dearfriend stores the minimum data needed to work: two email addresses per pair and your answers while waiting for your friend to reply.
Your answers are deleted from our servers the moment the digest email is sent. When a session ends, all pair data is removed. If you unsubscribe, your email addresses are deleted immediately. Anonymous timing data (reply speed, answer length) is kept to improve the service.
Data is stored on AWS servers in the EU (eu-west-1, Ireland). No data is shared with third parties.
We use Umami for website analytics. Umami is privacy-focused, does not use cookies, and does not collect personal data. The analytics server is hosted at umami.common-display.de.
No cookies are set by this website.
Your rights (DSGVO Art. 15-21)
You can request access to, correction, or deletion of your data at any time. Every email from Dearfriend includes a one-click link to delete all your data instantly. You can also email hi@dearfriend.cc.
